A warm welcome awaits you at the annual Scarborough Dance Festival

Festival Organiser and Host Philip Wylie of Holiday & Dance together with Christine Parsons of 'Going Dancing' are delighted
to welcome you to the Ocean Ballroom and the 15th anniversary of the Scarborough Dance Festival.

The full and exciting dance programme of Modern and Latin dancing in the Ocean Ballroom includes daily 'Learn & Improve' sessions and workshops together with the very popular Young Rising Dance Stars in Cabaret. In addition the Coffee Dances will continue to provide the opportunity of a Sequence Teach-In.

Your organisers and all at the Spa were delighted with the significant increase in numbers for the festival in 2011 but appreciate this sudden increase did cause difficulties with seating plus of course crowded floors. To ensure that in 2012 the Spa continues to offer an outstanding dance experience we will be limiting numbers in the Ocean Ballroom to 400, this does mean that early booking is recommended.

As always it will be a pleasure to welcome the famous Ross Mitchell his Band and Singers for our Gala Dance Night - his 15th year with us:also during the evening the Scarborough Waltz Trophy will be presented - a popular event for all dancers: previous winners are not eligible.

Exciting news for all dancers will be the introduction of the Friday and Saturday Sequence Gala evenings in the beautifully
refurbished Grand Hall with presentation by top hosts Gary and Gwenda Cole - an outstanding dance evening is assured!
