Grand Hall

The Grand Hall, which has been returned to its original splendour, has comfortable theatre style seats for up to 1920 people. The seats on the ground floor can be removed to give 823 sq m of exhibition space and there is easy access for equipment, directly from the Forecourt car park into the rear of the hall. The hall has excellent sound and lighting systems and the abundance of natural daylight, which is one of the main features of the hall, can be completely blacked out for audio-visual presentations.

The tiered stage, measuring 16 m x 9 m can easily accommodate purpose built sets for conferences as well as being ideal for large orchestras, bands, choirs etc – all the latter benefiting from the marvellous acoustic properties of the Hall.
