What an impact this event has had on the jazz world! In its first four years it has enjoyed increasing national acclaim.

Audiences and performers have acknowledged the consistently high quality of the artists and find the variety and range of the programme refreshing. And, of course, the physical setting gives the festival an added appeal.

SJF always tries to put on a fresh and balanced programme and unashamedly relies heavily on the plethora of outstanding British musicians - the legendary Georgie Fame, Clare Teal, international star pianist Julian Joseph, the world's greatest jazz guitarist, Martin Taylor, the lyrical Jacqui Dankworth and Dennis Rollins are just some of the highlights from previous years.
